Cody LeVon’s Solo Show at North Port Art Center

codyCody LeVon is a North Port High School Senior in honors classes with a high GPA that has already accomplished much. His love for the visual arts started before he can even remember. In the Spring of 2009, he accompanied North Port High School art instructor Tiffany Jennings to France, to tour the Louvre and other art museums. Cody has completed an internship at the North Port Art Center, working side-by-side with the Art Center Director. Mr. LeVon continues to volunteer his talents and time at the center on a regular basis. He has worked in assisting many committees; including Gallery Exhibitions, Art-in-Public Places, assisting in teaching youth classes, fundraisers, community events, sales person in Artisans Port Gift Shop, data entry, taking people on tours of the facility, lending a hand in office administration and being a well rounded hands-on-guy. His volunteer service to the community has been outstanding.

Cody just finished exhibiting his artwork at the North Port Public Library in the Juliano Room. One of his award winning pieces, “A-Lone Journey” may be seen at North Port City Hall on the second floor. It will be open to the public for viewing until April 4th. Cody’s exhibits have included: Venice Art Show – 2nd place, Evening of Excellence at Ringling School of Art and Design, and North Port High School -Student Showcase; Honorable mention.

Cody will be having an Invitational Solo Show at North Port Art Center, March 1st to April 15th. Opening reception is Saturday, March 6, 4 – 6pm. Public is invited to attend.
