The annual Giving Challenge gets underway at noon Tuesday, Sept. 20, and for 24 hours we can all make a huge difference for our Art Center.
The key word this year is MULTIPLICATION – and here’s why.
If you donated last year, your gift will be doubled. For example, a $50 donation = $100 for the Art Center.
If you did not donate last year, your gift will be tripled. So, a $50 donation becomes $150 for the Art Center.
If you donated the year before last, but not last year, this year’s gift will be tripled, as if you had not donated before.
All gifts up to $100 will be matched, either by a multiplier of 2 or 3. You can give more than $100, but amounts over $100 will not be matched. The minimum donation is just $25.
All donations are made online with a credit card during the 24-hour period. You can read more about it by clicking HERE.
This year’s Challenge theme is “Be the One.” So consider this: If you’re a new donor, you can “be the one” whose $25 donation is tripled and will become $75 — just about enough to sponsor a needy North Port child to our Summer Funtastic Art Camp for a week. Think how many kids we can help if a number of you choose to be that one person who makes a difference in a child’s life with just a $25 gift.
The 2016 Giving Challenge is presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation, as well as support from Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, and the Herald-Tribune Media Group.
