Every year we ask our members and supporters to make a donation to NPAC during this 24-hour annual event sponsored by the community foundations in three counties.
We’re going to ask you once again to do your part, but the pot has been sweetened this time for donations made by folks who’ve never given before.
The Patterson Foundation of Sarasota has pledged to match ALL donations made by first-time contributors, from $25 up to $250.
If you’ve never donated before, this is the time to take the plunge and give us a hand. Every donation from a new donor will be matched dollar-for-dollar. That means a $25 donation becomes $50, a $50 becomes $100, and so on.
Of course, if you have been a faithful contributor over the years, we ask you to continue to do that. If at all possible, you can ask your spouse or another family member who has never contributed to make the donation…that way the donation will be from a new donor and thus doubled.
The Challenge runs 24 hours, from noon on Tuesday, Sept. 1, through noon on Wednesday, Sept. 2. We’ll have more information about the Giving Challenge as we get closer to the event. Be on the lookout soon for information on just how and when you can contribute.
The 2015 Giving Challenge is made possible by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and The Patterson Foundation with support from the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Manatee Community Foundation, and the Herald-Tribune Media Group.
